Golden Dragon Restaurant - Placerville | Authentic Chinese Cuisine with Generous Portions

This restaurant served the most wonderful Chinese food we ever ate! We now live in the Kansas City, Missouri area, and want them to open a restaurant here! We give them 10 Stars! Please contact me if the owners of Golden Dragon are looking for a new place to open another one of their restaurants. Their restaurant will the overrun with customers, guaranteed!

Amazing restaurant the orange chicken was phenomenal, so was the beef spicy garlic, and the walnut shrimp. It is the best place to go to, and their fried rice and their chow main had plenty of protein and tastes great.

Second time coming here, food is amazing each time. Soupes and rice are on point, definitely more on the traditional Honk Kong style recipes. I noticed also the dinner and lunch combos are massive portions, so definitely big value given their reasonable prices. Definitely recommend if your in town looking for a nice Chinese restaurant to dine in. The venue is a bit dated, but the food makes up for it.

On the way to South Tahoe we had lunch in Golden Dragon. There are many Chinese restaurants in town. It was picked because we missed it the last time we passed by 12 years ago. It was closed on Monday. It is a normal Chinese join, nothing fancy. We had a Kung Pao shrimp and Hunan beef. It earns my 5-stars by good service, large quantity, and great price. The beef is tender and juicy. The shrimps have fresh pepper flavour. The noodle is on the greasy side. Lunch special price worked on Sunday, a big plus. Lunch for two sums up <$25.

I love this place! Whenever I have to work in this area it is my go to lunch spot. The fried rice is excellent, best hot and sour soup and the chicken green beans and Chicken kung Pao are excellent. Staff is always nice and attentive. Large portions as well.

Now this place was quiet and let me tell you this place is extremely affordable and is worth it. Lunch meals was around 10$ and I ordered some pork egg rolls and it was great i could have ordered two orders of that and been happy. I also noticed the lo main had meat in it. This place is amazing. The only con I could find is the soda is expensive but welcome to California. I really liked this place and give it a ten out of ten for a spot that you wouldn’t think. Affordable is almost impossible to find in California but here is a place!

Great food and service. It was $38 for a large war wonton soup and two dinner plate specials with tons of leftovers. My favorite are the wontons and the chow mein- the beef with broccoli is especially tasty.
